Swell Time

Moving forward, just not sure where we're going, but at least we're having a swell time when we do it.

Looking around

Janet wanted to walk away and focus on other people.  She was drawn to the man who did not speak.  Eventually the team of doctors left the room, they were not sure what was wrong but felt confident he was stable and not going to hurt anyone.

She peaked around the corner before walking in.  Janet saw arm and leg restraints.  She also saw the man looking around the room.  From what she could tell, he seemed to be in a state of disbelief.

“Hey there, remember me?  I’m Janet, we met the first night you were admitted.”

The man looking around.

“I’m finishing my shift soon, but I just wanted to come by and see how you were doing now that things calmed down a bit.”

The man stopped looking around the room and focused his energy on Janet.  He contorted his face and looked like he was funneling all of his energy into something.  After a moment, he stopped.  Exhausted from the excitement and the energy it took to accomplish nothing.

Janet touched his arm.  “Get some rest.  I’ll check in on you tomorrow.”  The man closed his eyes and fell asleep.
