Swell Time

Moving forward, just not sure where we're going, but at least we're having a swell time when we do it.

Snow, wind, and ice

There it was, sitting on the beach and in the water.  From the car it looked beautiful, but really we knew once we went outside the picture of serenity would be replaced with a much more primal feeling.  There is something about the cold that brings out a feeling of survival.  And for some reason, even when it is this cold, we still don a wetsuit and go out in the water.  Days like today, the ocean feels like sludge.  But you also know that it takes a certain kind of stuff to enjoy being outside and out in the water when there is snow on the ground, the wind is howling, and ice is everywhere.

I love the wilderness of the winter, really we need to be in a survival mode.
