Swell Time

Moving forward, just not sure where we're going, but at least we're having a swell time when we do it.

That would have been good to know- YESTERDAY.

That would have been good to know- YESTERDAY.

Why is it that when we have a big project, an important project, just as we are about to finish, the boss walks in and drops a bomb. And she always does it with such an attitude and tone that says, we’ve known this for a few days, I’m surprised you have no idea what I’m talking about. And usually she follows up with a, didn’t you see my email?

Her email? Really? Our inbox gets inundated with emails, thousands of emails. Emails about training, emails about safety, emails about what we are allowed to send in our emails.

It’s really infuriating.
But every day, we keep coming to work but why? It’s simple, we need a job.

Yes I’ve read all of the inspirational quotes that my cousin posts on Facebook and Instagram about following your dreams and doing what you love. Well I love my apartment and my car. So I’m not ready to give those things up.

I do have dreams that one day Susan will walk in with one of her bombs and I’ll have a timely bomb of my own. I’ll tell her I quit. And I’ll leave in dramatic fashion like Tom Cruise in “Jerry Maguire” or even better (once I find my dream guy) I’ll get carried out like Debra Winger in “Officer and a Gentleman.”

My departure will have to wait. Because it is Friday afternoon and Susan, is timely with another change to our project.

Timely

Came for the “Wedding Singer” quote, stayed for the post. Got out of an office job a couple years ago. I think it saved my sanity.

I am in transition right now and I now know what I want versus what I need. And what I want to do and what I don’t, so I get the sanity piece of leaving an office job.

      Thank you.

Enjoyed this… shame you can’t take one of Susan’s bomb and blow her up with tin 😝🐻
