Swell Time

Moving forward, just not sure where we're going, but at least we're having a swell time when we do it.

Positive not negative

One of my goals while attending the Joint Women’s Leadership Symposium is to ask women why they stayed in the military. I want to find out if there is a common link, a common thread amongst these women.

I’m interested in doing this because I suspect the military has been doing it backwards. The focus has been on the women getting out and finding out why they are getting out. Then taking that information and changing the military to make it more appealing to women.

I think we should find out why women stay in. Then the focus could be on making sure we provide women with the tools for success based on past experience.

Let’s focus on the positive, focus on the strengths for once.
